The challenge
The client aimed to create a versatile platform for service exchange, allowing users to not only request help but also offer skills in barter, purchase event tickets, and use premium subscriptions. The website texts were incorrect, so we focused on revising and adapting the description to reflect real features: profiles, feed, catalog, events, and barter.
Our Approach
We analyzed the market for mutual aid mobile services, prioritizing user convenience. We developed an intuitive interface with personalized profiles, a dynamic feed for updates, a service catalog for searching and ordering, plus mechanisms for barter and ticket purchasing. Added paid subscriptions for exclusive functions, ensuring security and usability across devices.
Results
The updated app boosted user engagement by simplifying service exchanges, barter, and ticket buying. It now serves as a full-fledged community platform where “Dobro” is not just a name but the foundation of interactions, with a growing catalog and active feed.
UX Design Process
In the UX phase, we mapped out detailed user flows to visualize key journeys, such as onboarding, service booking via barter, event ticket purchases, and subscription management, identifying potential pain points like navigation bottlenecks early on. This informed the creation of high-fidelity interactive prototypes in Figma, enabling iterative testing with users to refine usability, reduce friction in multi-step processes, and ensure a seamless, intuitive experience across various scenarios
